All new MG vehicles need to be serviced at regular intervals. Each service should occur every 15,000 miles (or 10,000 miles for 16MY MG3 with Stop/Start) or every year - whichever comes first.
Here at Westridge MG we are authorised to carry out service and maintenance work in conjunction with the terms of your vehicle's warranty. We will also register your car on the Digital Service Record platform, meaning that you will be able to access the service history of your vehicle through a national database of MG dealers.

Your wipers keep excessive water, snow and dirt from building up on the windscreen, maintaining clear visibility.
Many factors can accelerate the replacement interval of wipers, including operating conditions (winter conditions are tough on wiper blades), frequency of use, material and type of wipers and believe it or not sunny weather.
Lights are normal wear items that require periodic inspection and replacement. Your lights provide night time visibility; signals and alerts for other drivers; and supplies light for viewing instruments and the vehicle’s interior. In addition to replacing dimming, rapidly blinking and non-functioning lights, the following tips can help keep you safe:
If there is any doubt on whether or not your headlights should be on, turn them on. Lights not only help you see better in early evening, they also make it easier for other drivers to see you.
Keep headlights, tail lights and Indicator lights clean. External dirt and muck can dim operational lights from being seen by others.
Make sure that your headlights are properly aligned. Misaligned headlights blind other drivers and reduce your ability to see the road.

The MG Service Plan includes the cost of all your scheduled MG vehicles servicing, covering parts and labour. Westridge Garage business is celebrating 100 years since Mr Frederick Winkles first bought Downing
and Donovan garage (Ryde) in 1921.
He then purchased Westridge Garage (Ryde) which he ran until his two sons, John and David were
ready to leave their army and Telecommunication careers and join Westridge Garage.
Currently Westridge is run by Mark Winkles, having acquired the franchises for Mitsubishi, MG and
More recently Marks son James has joined the sales team, alongside Robin Stoffell who has been
with Westridge for over 40 years, and Mark Hooper who is well known for his many years of
supplying Skoda cars to Isle of Wight Families.
The Westridge team are proud to be one of only a few family owned “true Island businesses, with
100 years of unique family history.

What is a Service Plan?
A Service Plan allows customers to spread the cost of their servicing over a number of years, by paying a monthly direct debit. You can also pre-pay for your MG Service Plan in full, should you wish to do so.

Our standard service plan covers our standard schedule service regime, set at 15,000 miles/12 months, giving you the option for peace of mind maintenance for up to 5 year/75,000 miles.
However, for any new car registered from January 2021 (or vehicles less than a year old and under 10,000 miles before the first scheduled service), you have an additional option. Our new Low Mileage Service Plan is capped at 10,000 miles per year and is aimed at customers who annually complete less than 10,000 miles. this therefore reduces the need to replace some components, which may not have deteriorated with mileage and can go to their anticipated age tollerance, and therefore makes the plan much more cost effective.
An MG Service Plan covers the replacement cost of all scheduled parts, including the labour cost. Any items which at the time of servicing, ywhich we advise for replacement outside of the scheduled service items (e.g. brakes, tyres, wiper blades etc.) will be at an additional cost.
